Attendance Office Reminders
- Written notes are required for an absence to be excused. Phone calls to the attendance office are appreciated, but do not make an absence excused.
- Please remind your student that they are expected to
- Arrive directly after any home school or DACC weather-related delays and
- Adhere to the DACC school calendar

Blood Drive
On Tuesday October 2nd, 2012, Fire Service junior and senior students along with Captain Dan Huffman, hosted a Blood Drive through the American Red Cross at the DACC North Campus. Construction Technologies senior class along with Instructor Mr. Scott, assisted with the day's activities. The Blood Drive was a success! They collected 42 units of blood were collected. That is enough to help 126 people! The next Blood Drive will take place at the DACC North Campus on Friday, November 30th, 2012. Captain Huffman along with his Fire Service I & II students have a goal of reaching 50 units or more during the upcoming Blood Drive dates.

Columbus State Community College and Marion Technical College Visit Days
Explore the Columbus State Community College, Delaware Campus, on Friday, October 19th. You will start at 9:30am with a walk through Moeller Hall and experience CSCC. Then from 10:30-11:00 you will receive general information on applying, financial aid, programs, student services, advising, and the CSCC/OSUM partnership. Don't miss out!!
Marion Technical College Fall visit days are on October 17th, 26th and November 2nd from 8am-12pm. You will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and current students, tour the campus, explore a college major, and learn how to qualify for scholarships and other types of financial aid.Please make reservations a week prior to your visit day. When making your reservation, please indicate your choice of program. We will fulfill your requests on a first come first served basis. Space is limited! You must also request a college visit day with your guidance counselor.

New Adult Education Classes Starting in October
Some great new adult education classes are getting ready to kick off and it's not too late to sign up!
Welding - Starting Oct 15th. This course is designed to meet individual participant needs. The students will begin with stick welding and then proceed to MIG and TIG.
CISCO CCNA - Starting Oct 30th. This 10-week course prepares students for the CISCO Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) examination and covers the basics of networking, LANs and WANs.
