Attendance and Call-In Policy

Attendance reflects school performance. Students are required to be in attendance all days that Delaware Area Career Center is in session. If possible, doctor appointments and other commitments should be scheduled after school hours. If an absence is unavoidable, please contact the South Campus at 740-201-3211 or North Campus at 740-203-2268 before 9:00 a.m. For more information about our attendance policies, visit the Attendance page on the DACC web site.

Student  Lunches

Student lunches will be offered at North Campus for all students.
The Delaware Area Career Center implemented a new computerized debit system in our North Campus cafeteria that replaced our traditional cash registers.  This system is very similar to those in use at the home school districts.  Students will use their Student ID number for their debit account when they purchase lunch.  Money and checks (payable to: DACC) can be put on account at the register during the lunch shifts.
Students may purchase a "Class A" balanced lunch for $3.00 and purchase items a la carte.  A la carte items vary in cost.

Students attending half day who have lunch scheduling and bus concerns please contact your guidance counselor.
Free and reduced-price lunch applications were included in the Student/Parent Meeting Packet and are available in the Main Office.  Please turn in all completed applications to Anita English (South Campus) and Debbi Pemberton (North Campus).  Questions should be directed to Judy Clickenger at 740-203-2203

Please remember that Delaware Area Career Center has a closed lunch policy. Full day students are not allowed to leave school for lunch.

Visit our web site for monthly lunch menus.

Fee Waivers

Students who qualify for a free lunch may also have school fees waived.  To become eligible for a fee waiver, parents must fill out a free and reduced lunch application with DACC and check off and sign the section asking for a fee waiver.

Career-Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)

Career-Technical Student Organizations teach leadership and teamwork.  Each student will participate in either SkillsUSA, BPA (Business Professional of America), FEA (Future Educators of America), FFA or FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America).  Encourage your student to become involved in the competitions that will allow him/her to showcase his/her skills at regional, state or national competitions. More information is available about each organization on our web site.

Early Job Experience

Early Job Experiences are offered to seniors with qualifying grades and attendance starting at the second semester. Read more about one student's experience with early job placement on our Student Blog

National Technical Honor Society

National Technical Honor Society inducts members once a year based on requirements of the national organization.  Any questions should be directed to your DACC guidance counselor.

More information is available about how students can qualify for National Technical Honor Society on our web site.
