"He Won't Stop Drinking"

Excessive drinking, pill addiction  or any substance abuse in a marriage by one of the spouses is probably one of the top three reasons for marriage failure that I deal with every day.

We all know that we can't change our partners behavior but we can impact it by the way we let God change us. Learning to ask God to change me can have a significant affect on allowing God to change our spouse. The key change is the willingness to seek help from someone that can support and encourage you through the process. It's almost impossible to do it successfully on your own. Why? Because of our own self will and emotions we will never be able to see or understand how my spouses problems can be directly affected by changes in me.

"I'm not the one with the problem. She is!"

"I don't need to change, he does!

If you hear yourself saying this or you feel your marriage is falling apart, give us a call at Transformation Ministries, we can help.

                                           A Mother

"It's Time For You To Go, My Son"

Recently I received this letter from a single mom that is just at the place where she is worn out, hurt and desperate concerning her son and his actions in her home. Proverbs 10:1 says, "A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother. When this happens, and the grief comes and many mothers that I talk to have come to this point, all the life is sucked out of you and you become desperately worn out! Proverbs 10:17 goes on to say, "He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

If your adult children are speaking disrespectfully to you and are dishonoring you with their actions, you may want to read this article sent in from a single mom in Philadelphia.
