Mom and Dad

Have you considered the fact that not all the pain or problems that your teen struggles with are caused by you. Many times the depression or anxiety that your child experiences is caused by external factors beyond your parental control.

We can't always save our children from that pain. The best we can do is display to them how Godly people handle their emotions and feelings. Stay connected with your kids and don't always assume that you caused the problem.

" Pain plants the flag of reality deep

into the heart of rebellion "

TRM Email Newsletter Response

In response to our monthly email newsletter, I have been getting so many great responses that I just felt compelled to share them with approval. The story below was sent in by a couple that has been in a weekly parenting support group called, Free Indeed for a number of years. They found our group late in the "game" but I believe the group was critical in helping them make tough decisions in dealing with their daughter. Our child's (or adult child) poor choices and rebellious behaviors are not always caused by the parents but we the parents or family members are always the ones hurt by the consequences. It's not a pretty sight for Al and Trisha, but God changed it all! The ending is much better than the beginning.

Parenting Can Get Hot!

Al and Trisha have a story of many years of struggle and frustration with their daughter, her behaviors and her addictions. From the beginning they were in for a ride. Check out their story of how God sustained them through the hottest trials of their parenting journey. See how God taught them to be cool in the furnace....

If you are a parent or a spouse and you feel like you are at your wits end in dealing with a teen, an adult child or a spouse that has addiction issues, Free Indeed may be the support group you need. We never tell you what to do or condemn you for what you've done. Other parents who have been "through the fire and come out the other side.." will come along side of you and give you support, ideas and prayer while you are going through your struggle. There's biblical teaching and its a safe group that meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30-8:00pm.

If you are someone that you know  wants to get more information on attending this group call Jan or Frank Cusimano at 205-408-9308 or Rock Hobbs at 470-3830.
