JUICING BASICS 101

EXTRACTING JUICERS
removes pulp and fiber, leaves behind water, sugar and a small amount of nutrients, 5 lbs of produce to make a cup of juice, must drink at least 9 to 12 8 ounce glasses daily, can mix all vegetables and fruits due to the fiber being removed, more parts to clean, excellent for a personally administered IV of vitamins, trace minerals and nutrients, juice feasting or fasting for days, weeks and months at a time is highly recommended a few times a year.

BLENDED JUICES
contains fiber so more filling, mix dark leafy greens with fruit, mix fruit with vegetables (need more info), don't mix dark leafy greens with vegetables and fruits due to the fiber, can use more of the whole fruit so less waste, a Vitamix (easy to clean 1 container) liquifies the fiber, seeds and skin making smooth juice, juice feasting or fasting for days, weeks and months at a time is highly recommended a few times a year.

Juice to maintain health, detox, cleanse, rejuvenate, fast and refresh from a cellular level.

Want to know More?

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at

how all areas of my clients life are connected. Does stress at a job or in a

relationship cause overeating? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent regular

exercise? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect

your health as a whole.

My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to

create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients

to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.

Together we'll work to achieve goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight,

food cravings, sleep, and energy. As we work together, you will develop a deeper

understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you while improving your energy, balance and health.

Questions I ask my clients to think about:

Have you ever received good advice that you were unable to follow?

Has your

doctor ever recommended a lifestyle change that you found to be unsustainable?

Have you ever wanted something in your life, but found you couldn't achieve it

alone?

SLOWING DOWN
Set a Goal to SLOW DOWN this year.

**HOPE YOU ARE STILL DE-CLUTTERING YOUR SPACES AND REAPING THE BENEFITS OF A NEW SENSE OF CLARITY AND PEACE OF MIND.**

Quick note to my class participants this past Saturday: "Thank you so much for coming out we had a ball, hope you learned a ton about juicing!"  Chelly

SLOWING DOWN

Let's work on slowing down this year, drive slower, take deeper breathes, relax more, smile more, speak slower, listen longer, respond slower with love, gaze longer, walk slower and stretch longer.

I'm going to really work on this myself.  Let me know how it goes for you.  Take a sticky note and write SLOW in all caps, stick those notes everywhere, little reminder for you. :)
