New Exciting Programs At kona's touch

Dear Friends,

Summer is here. There is positive reinforcement pollenating the fields of the dog world. We're watching dogs and puppies run through the pastures and we revel in their joy.

We are so thrilled in this issue to tell you about some new exciting ideas and offerings from kona's touch. We are even tweaking our web-site and adding some new pages. Check out our new Positive Dog Training page.  Positive Training

Day and/or vacation training is one of the new additions kona's touch is starting. With our help, you can design a customized home training program for your family's specific needs.

We are also very proud to start our new support program to help owners of sick & aging dogs. Whether you need management, or ways to just physically make your old friend more comfortable, we can help. Yes, we can even train new behaviors with your old dog, to help him find better ways to navigate old age and illness. Call for more information.

kona's touch has new energy, new ideas and looking forward to seeing you in one of our new programs or back at one of our highly rewarding training programs.

Enjoy,

Be gentle, after all isn't that what you would want for your best friend,

Day Training Starting at kona's touch

Murphy from AtitlanLet kona's touch, inc. help you train your dog while you are working at home or busy with, well just about anything. While you or a trusted adult are home to let us in and out, we will work with your dog throughout the week on training exercises. Then at the end of each week we will show you what (insert your dog's name here) has learned and teach you how to continue.

We can help, whether you're on vacation, sprained an ankle, want to deepen your dogs training skills or you just want your dog to have some fun.

With training, interactive brain games, fun nose work, agility and maybe some good old "fetch", we can let you relax knowing for this day, your pooch is having a great time.

Call us for more information about pricing and schedules.

Are You & Your Dogs Ready For Summer?

It's hot out already. Not just in the Mid-West, but all around the country. Summer has crept up on us and even though we all had a mild winter, we're not used to it yet, especially our canine couch potatoes.

  • Leave plenty of fresh drinking water available for your dog and check it often. If you are outside with your dog, bring along a bowl and refresh it throughout the day.
  • Never leave your dog in the car in warm temperatures. Cars can heat up very quickly and be a virtual oven for your dog.
  • Lawn and garden chemicals can be toxic for dogs. Know what you are using in your dog's play area. Use organic whenever possible.  Be aware of seductive scents of chocolate mulch.
  • Start slow with your canine athlete. Give them time to warm up. Learn stretches for you & your dog.
  • Give ice cubes or freeze broth for hot day entertainment. Use treat crumbs from the bottom of your treat jar with water. Make doggie popsicles!
  • As in all seasons: SUPERVISE YOUR DOG OUTSIDE.
