The Holidays Are Coming: Ready or Not
Dear Friends.
We are coming upon the holidays and they always seem to get here sooner than we're ready. At kona's touch, inc. we are getting ready for a new season and then the New Year's puppy extravaganza. The phone starts ringing and all the new puppies and the not so new adolescents will be ready for training. and we're getting ready for them.
This month we have added a new section to our Waggin' Tales called "It's Not Just For Pups". We will feature monthly, another species and some fun or important story to go with it. We start out with cats. So many of our kona's touch friends also call with feline questions and we're always ready to help. The first month, cats next month who knows, probably, dolphins. If you have a favorite animal, I'm sure I'll be happy to feature it.
This year our holiday gift to you is our exclusive kona's touch, inc. "DOG SITTING PLANNER: HABITS, HEALTH & HISTORY" I have used this planner for many years and it is a concise, easy and invaluable outline for you & your dog when you go on vacation or are called away on an emergency. Just click on the link below and download your free Dog Sitting Planner now. You will love it. Enjoy,
Be gentle, after all isn't that what you would want for your best friend,

Puzzles For Your Pooch:
Let The Games Begin

Go play with your toys, I have things to do." Imagine saying that to your dog. Now you can. Dogs can play on their own, keeping themselves busy, happy and thinking. We can cook dinner, talk on the phone or answer the door in peace. Interactive Dog Toys (as they are called) are here. They are made specifically to keep your dog busy and thinking at the same time, and all without their human directly involved. These games are getting more popular, fun, and complex.
I bought two of them at a seminar recently. With the help of the talented trainers at Narnia Pet Behavior and Training and Pat Miller of Peaceable Paws, the seminar speaker, I purchased Nina Ottosson's Dog Tornado and Dog Casino. I couldn't have had better advice. Monday morning we were ready to play.
The toys come with drawers or spaces to move around which hold treats inside. When they master the first part, you can add plug type pieces to make it more difficult.

Baby Sitting Dogs
When vacation season starts up, I get calls asking me where I board my dog. Well this depends on the specific dog and situation. Some dogs are OK to board away from home, some not so much. Whether you send Fido out or bring someone into your home it's important to have it planned before you need it. Emergency travel can happen at any time. Are you ready to leave your dogs, possibly, to a perfect stranger at a moment's notice? Even if you have a surefire plan and people who know your dogs, "things happen". With the growing popularity of everything dog, care taking is moving to the top of the list. There are many options, but one factor stays the same, your dog.
Of course my first choice for taking care of my canine brood of three is me. I know their routine and follow my directions 100%. If you can't be there, give your dogs a chance to stick to routine without you. Someone who loves, cares for, and takes care of them just about as well as you would. AND have a very long, detailed list (with pictures) about everything and anything that will help even a total stranger in your house take care of your dogs.
We are offering DOG SITTING PLANNER: HABITS, HEALTH & HISTORY for you & your dog. Download it and fill it out either on your computer or fill it out with your wonderful "kona's touch" pen. Keep it in your computer and change the details as needed for each trip. If you board your dog, use the form also, just skip the details about your home. We hope this becomes a helpful, easy way for you to care for your pooch when you travel without him.
