Teachers and Mentors Report Growth in Youth Teachers and the Mentors who work with the youth of the Henry County Mentoring Program completed an end-of-year survey on the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and school functioning skills of our program participants. The findings for FY2012 were outstanding! - 73% of Mentees increased in Self-Confidence category (self-confidence, able to express feelings, decision making, interest in new hobbies, personal hygiene, and sense of future).
The Teacher Survey indicated that 86% of Mentees improved their academic performance. - 71% of Mentees improved their attitude toward school
- 71% of Mentees increase in being preparing for school
The Mentor's Survey indicated that: - 66% of Mentees improved in the Caring category (trust toward you, respect for others, relationship with family, peers, and other adults) while the Teacher's Survey observed 61% of Mentees improved in this category.
- 82% of Mentees improved their relationship with peers

Youth Report "Highly Satisfied" with their Mentors The Mentees completed an anonymous year-end survey in May reporting on the relationship they have with their Mentors. The results indicate that 82% of the Mentees are Highly Satisfied with their Mentor/Mentee relationship. 92.5% of the Mentees are Emotionally Engaged in the relationship they are having with their Mentor. Lastly, 90% of the Mentees report that their mentoring relationships are Youth Centered - focused on them!
