Volunteer Work

April and May 2011
Part of our work here at Extension involves the Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC). It is a group of community members who work to prevent Child Abuse ...getting involved with the family before abuse can occur.
If you and your mentee are interested in working with our local CPPC....contact Cassie Gerst at 385-8126.

We value youth input and would love to work with more youth.
There is a volunteer opportunity to coordinate 2 youth targeted events in late-May. If you and your mentee at good at party planning...let us know!

February 2011
Greetings!

Welcome to Spring! The Mentoring Program is preparing to slow down as summer nears and the end of school is right around the corner. We want to suggest to everyone to think about what that means for your mentoring match. Will you continue to meet over the summer? Will you sign up to meet with the same child next school year? Or, is it time to say goodbye?

Whatever your choice, we hope you know that we are here to support you. It has been a fantastic year full of highlights....what are yours? Share any success stories (little or big) with us.

Happy Spring,
Cassie Gerst / Mentoring Program Coordinator
