Stephanie and Jeremy
The Wesley Foundation truly becomes a family for the students. Several Wesley students threw a wedding shower for Stephanie and Jeremy to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.
Dear Friends,

There are several important announcements and updates I need to share with you in this month's E-Newsletter:

Golf Tournament Rescheduled Golf PictureGolfTournament

Ten inches of rain on the morning and afternoon of June 8 turned out to be about 9 ½ inches more than we were willing to endure for the 9th annual Wesley Golf Tournament!

Because of the washout we have rescheduled our tournament for 1:30p.m. on Monday, August 9 at the Moore Golf & Athletic Club. If you weren't able to play in our June tournament, perhaps your schedule would allow you to join us next month instead? We would love to take advantage of this postponement by adding a few additional teams to the field.

If you are interested in supporting the ministry and playing golf, please contact
janey@okwesley.org.
Football Parking Permits Still Available FootballFootballParkingPermit

Several of our 2009 football parkers will not be renewing their season tickets thus opening up a few spots in our parking lot for the 2010 season. Our lot is the closest private lot on the west side of the stadium and includes usage of our building on game days.

Permits are $170 (tax deductible). For more information contact wesley@okwesley.org.

Staying active throughout the summerStayingActiveAt the Lake

Although school isn't in session, we continue to provide ministry opportunities for the students that are living in Norman for the summer.

We have been meeting regularly on Wednesday evenings for Bible study followed by various fellowship activities. Our men's group has continued to meet for Bible study and fellowship on Thursday evenings. We also took a group of students to the Houston area for a lake trip in June, and we will be hosting a few cookouts and swim parties over the next month in addition to our Bible studies.

On top of these activities our staff is spending countless hours contacting churches for names of incoming students, speaking at senior high youth camps, and meeting with incoming freshman when they come to register. We continue to covet your prayers during this important time in our ministry.

Send us names of incoming FreshmanstudentsIncomingStudents

Can you imagine being charged with the task of ministering to over 1,500 United Methodists, but not knowing who those 1,500 people are? Statistics tell us there are approximately 1,500 United Methodist students at OU, but without your help we can't find them.

We work very hard in the summer and throughout the school year to make contact with as many students as possible, but you can make our job easier by telling us who is coming to OU.

If you know of an incoming freshman (from your church, your town, your family, etc.) that will be attending OU next year, would you please email us his/her name and contact information? They don't even have to be United Methodist! We will get in touch with them, tell them about our ministry, and invite them to get plugged in this Fall semester. Email names to taylor@okwesley.org.
