Resource News You Can Use

Happy National Weatherization Day!

In addition to getting out our broomsticks and jack-o-lanterns, we're getting out our foam outlet covers and checking the temperature of our hot water heaters.

Each year, October 30th is celebrated to recognize weatherization that takes place around the country.

4CORE celebrated this year by performing a basic audit and some weatherization on the San Juan County Courthouse in Silverton. Learn more about 4CORE's Weatherization Program from this recent article.

Visit the Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program site for more information or check out this video to learn more about the program and its benefits.

You too can celebrate by getting out your caulk guns and weather stripping and sealing some air leaks before it gets too chilly! Check out the free webinars and training listed below to get you started.

Energy to Evolve:
Resource Smart Business
A blog post by Intern Ryan Riebau, who has come full circle

Two years ago, a group of my friends and I were told to sit down, blueprint, imagine, and present a program "to spur sustainable economic development" that was transparent, credible, consistent, valuable, holistic, locally defined, and unique. Our feelings were somewhere between absolutely overwhelmed and excited to show off how competent we were. We then realized we were contained only by the realization we had NOTHING to go from.
