Greetings!

It has been an amazing year for 4CORE, and we anticipate a great 2010. Here are some highlights to date:
  • Issued over $107,000 in rebates to local residents and businesses
  • Helped to prevent 2554 metric tons in Greenhouse Gases
  • Brought in over $2.2 Million in grants to our local communities
  • Created 23 new jobs in our communities
  • Initiated the Weatherization program and weatherized 12 homes since the program began in September of 2009
  • Revamped our website at www.fourcore.org to make it easier to find information.
Resolve to get involved with 4CORE in 2010 by staying tuned to future e-newsletters and watching for energy efficiency programs you can participate in.
GEO Rebates Coming Down the Pipe
Governor's Energy OfficeGEO is working on a plan for $50 Million in Energy Efficiency programs and rebates in Colorado.

The State Energy Program (SEP) will provide rebates for:
  • Residential building programs
  • Renewable energy programs (solar and wind incentive programs for residents and businesses)
  • Commercial building programs (existing buildings)
  • Public information and consumer outreach
  • Finance/capital investments
  • Greening Government
  • Utilities and transmission
More information will be available in the coming months, and the program is projected to be launched in the first quarter of 2010. Please see the Governor's Energy Office website for more information.

Web screen4CORE has remodeled their website to make it easier for you to find information you need. Navigate the site with the menu at left, and easily search the site through the "Search 4CORE" link at the bottom of the menu.

2010-2011 Sustainable Building Education Program

The 2009 Sustainable Building Education Program has been a big success, with over 1300 attendees at dinners, Brown Bag Lunches, and trainings.

4CORE is talking with partners from Archuleta, La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, and San Juan Counties to use the momentum generated in 2009 to expand the program in 2010/11.
