 CEAP Up
The
Climate and Energy Action Plan (CEAP, pronounced "keep") is moving full
steam ahead. Currently we are in Phase 1 and have developed a mission, vision, and goals; revised
the emissions inventory; generated over 100 proposed measures to reduce
local emissions; refined the methodology for analyzing these proposed measures; and summarized climate change predictions for southwest Colorado. In addition, Creative Conspiracy developed a cool CEAP logo (shown above) to align our purpose in an image. Look for it on our energy-related media! CEAP information can be accessed anytime by clicking here. The work groups and the steering committee labored hard to finish drafts for your review and feedback. Solar Hot Water Finale
 The Solar Thermal Hot Water Rebate Program is over for 2008/2009. 4CORE gave out 39 rebates, totaling over $108,000 and avoiding 6,392 metric tons of Green House Gas emissions (calculated over 20 years). This is equivalent to taking 1,181 cars off the road, according to EPA.We are anxiously awaiting word on the program for next year, and will keep you posted as soon as we hear from the Governor's Energy Office. |
