 About This EventYou won't need the luck of the Irish to enjoy the National Cherry Festival's new 5k foot race! The National Cherry Festival has been successfully hosting foot races for over 30 years. In 2010, the Meijer Festival of Races presented by Cherry Bay Orchard drew over 3,200 participants. Now, the Festival is pleased to unveil the inaugural 'Fifth Third Bank Leapin' Leprechaun 5K'. In keeping with the successful strategies that have grown the Festival of Races 5K and 15K into such great events, we'll be providing a safe, accurate, and fun race for all to enjoy.
Race participants will receive a commemorative shirt, official timing, dried cherries, two mouse ears (mini elephant ears) and a complimentary beer for those 21 and older (soda for those under 21).
Post Race Party!
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! The finish party will feature live music and entertainment. A beer tent and Gibby's Fries will add even more fun to the festivities. Runners will be encouraged to dress for the occasion - Irish costumes and green attire. Awards will be presented to the top finishers and to the Best Irish Dressed participants!
Packet Pick Up
Packet pick-up and late registration will be on Friday, March 11 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Holiday Inn West Bay. Or from 7:30am to 8:30am at the race starting area in the Warehouse District on the day of the race.
