CSC Family Nordic Fun Day
Sunday January 10
1:30 - 3:30 PM
Shaganappi Golf Course

  Coaches will lead children for an hour ski and lesson from 2-3 PM

 Help yourself to hot chocolate and nut-free snacks

  Help build a Kids Snow Extreme Playground and earn CSC Dollars
Just bring a shovel!

  Free for Calgary Ski Club Members

First Classic Adults lesson night has been rescheduled to
 Tues. Jan. 12
 due to a wind chill factor on the originally scheduled date.

  Please meet at the warming tents along the road by Calgary Olympic Park.

Please arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 PM at the COP Guest Services desk in the day lodge to get your tickets and rental equipment  (if required), because there will be a lineup.

Start time: 7:00
Location: Warm-up tents along the road.

Classic cross country skiing will be taught.

Participants are encouraged to also enroll in Youth II

The lessons will focus on skate skiing instruction and incorporate some strength and stretching.

Skiers are expected to be at an intermediate level in classic skiing (this class is not for beginners skiers).

 What to Wear When Skiing

-Always dress in layers; kids get hot quickly and cool down just as fast
-Non-cotton layer next to the skin; something that wicks sweat away
-Warm gloves or mitts
-Hat
-Turtleneck
-Snow pants or water/wind resistant pants
-Synthetic or wool socks (not cotton)
-Water/wind resistant jacket
-Neck tube if quite chilly
