CSC Ski Sale Volunteers Needed!
Greetings!
 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

 The Calgary Ski Club together with the Lake Louise Ski Club and the Canadian Ski Patrol co-host the 47th annual NEW and USED SKI SALE.
Wednesday October 21st -Sunday October 25th at Max Bell Arena

This event requires 300 volunteers to work 1,000 shifts
 to sell over 7,000 items!

CSC is a proud founder of this sale that attracts thousands of Calgarians each year, with over 50 retailers and sponsors participating. The NEW and USED SKI  SALE is THE major fundraiser for CSC. Our share of the profits subsidize all the great programs, trips and activities we offer to our members all year round. But we can't pull off a weekend of great deals without a lot of help! So come and and help out - one shift, one day or more! Help keep CSC running!

Management Positions Needed

Sales & Appraisal Managers  Shift- Wed/Thurs Evening, Fri-Sun
Description: Managing Appraisal volunteers Wed/Thurs and managing Sales volunteers Fri-Sun. Some knowledge of XC, DH ski and/or SB. equipment is required.
 TRAINING NIGHT WED OCT 14th Banff Trail Community Hall

Public Consignment Manager  Shift- Wed/Thurs evening
Description: Manage the consignment and tagging of public consignment goods, supervise consignment team Wed-Thurs.

Final Inventory Control Manager  Shift- Sunday
Description: Book-keeping Sunday afternoon/evening checking unsold items against printouts, checking for errors/omissions. Some experience necessary. Organizational skills, detail & accuracy skills and problem solving are required.
 
Food services Manager All Shifts
Description: Purchasing/maintaining drinks and snacks for volunteer room. Co-ordinate with Broken Plate caterer. 


Training for all Management Positions is held

 Wednesday September 30th and October 7th 7:30 p.m.
 at Rosedale Community Hall, 901-11 Ave. N.W.

Volunteers Needed

Shop Consignment Assistants
1 or 2 assistants needed
Description: September- Contacting sponsors and packaging Consignment kits, delivering kits by October 1st, Wed/Thurs evening assist in unloading/checking incoming inventory, Sunday assisting in checking out unsold items.
NO EXPERIENCE/TRAINING NECESSARY

Consignment  Shifts - Wed/Thurs
Description:  Write consignment forms for public and shops.
NO EXPERIENCE/TRAINING NECESSARY

Appraisal Shifts - Wed/Thurs
Description: Ensure  DH, XC, and SB equipment and clothing meets standards and assist customers in selecting selling prices for their goods. Some experience of XC, DH and SB gear desired.

Sales Shifts - Fri-Sun
Description: Assist the general public in selecting affordable equipment or clothing suitable for their skiing ability/needs. Some experience of XC, DH and SB gear desired.

Reclaim/Inventory Control  Shift- Sunday afternoon/evening
Description:  Check actual unsold inventory against printouts for public and individual shops. Return gear to public and to shops.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Cash and Cheque Approval Shifts - Thursday evening, Fri-Sun
Description: Operate cash tills, approve cheques, staff the admission ticket booth.
TRAINING THURS. OCT 22 at Max Bell 8:00 P.M.

Computers- All Shifts  Wed-Sun
Description: Data Entry clerks- accuracy important No experience necessary.
                   Computer Setup- Some skills required.
                   System Operator- Knowledge and experience essential.
NO TRAINING NECESSARY
 
Security All Shifts Wed-Sun
Description: During consignment and reclaiming - Traffic control of people and vehicles.
During sale periods- Control of public, preventing shoplifting and checking itemized receipts.
NO TRAINING/EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Movers and Shakers- Shifts Wed/Sun
Description: Clean-up, checking and moving equipment/ odd jobs. May involve lifting. Should bring work gloves for all shifts. Transport equipment to and from storage to Max Bell. Set up floor area with fencing, tables and chairs for consignment, sales and reclaiming as required.
NO TRAINING/EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
