Greetings!

Begining this week, you should begin seeing commercial spots promoting El Dorado on the major television stations.  This is the next step for the El Dorado image initive, which is being managed by El Dorado Inc, El Dorado Main Street, the Chamber of Commerce, and the City of El Dorado.  These are very professional and quality commercials that will highlight the benefits of living in El Dorado.  Along with the commercials, the 360ElDorado.com website is gaining more momentum.  In the month of October, there were a little over 600 new or "unique" people who visited the website.  Half way through November, there have been almost as many new visitors this month already.  These are great numbers for the new website and we hope to continue to grow.  If you have not visited the 360ElDorado.com webiste, please do so.  We are adding more and more pages and content everyday.

El Dorado Main Street Thanks the City of El Dorado

Downtown El Dorado is one step closer to having upper-story housing similar to the picture on thehope vi3 right.  Monday night, the El Dorado City Commission agreed to partner with El Dorado Main Street and apply for a grant which could bring $1 million dollars into the downtown for upper story housing renovations.  This grant can only be applied for if the City and El Dorado Main Street work together.  Last month, City Manager Herb Llewellyn, put Lindsay Baines in touch with a grant writer who feels that El Dorado has a good chance of being successful with this application.  The cost to hire this grant writer, however, is $14,250.  The City Commission voted at their last meeting to go ahead with this project and work towards receiving this grant and additional grants in the future.  Without the City's participation, willingness to hire the grant writer, and over-all support for this; El Dorado would not have the oppurtunity to apply for this grant.  We have many building owners interested and several have already hired and received floor plans from our local PKHLS Architects office, as shown above.  Over the next sixty days, all involved will be working diligently to provide documentation for an impressive application.  If you have any questions about this project, please call Lindsay Baines at 321-3088.

 Toy a thon
Help El Dorado be the winning community for the 2009 Toy a Thon.  December 2nd in the Wal-Mart parking lot, there will be music, Santa, and food!  Bring toys and money donations from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.  To get in the spirit of the event, I would like to see friendly competition between businesses and organizations.  Who can bring the most donations?  Challenge your competitors now and get collecting!

If you would like a time slot to promote your business and be featured LIVE on KZSN as a featured donor, there are only a few time slots left!  This is a great oppurtunity to have free radio advertising and give to a good cause.

For more information, call Lindsay at 321-3088.
