We are asking that all piano students use our hand sanitizer before playing the piano.

YOUNG CHILDREN and PIANO
PRELUDE Piano Classes for young musicians are offered at MWA from June 1 - August 2. These two-week introductory classes are a great way to sample our piano classes to see how your child responds and determine if you want to commit for the 15-week semester in September. The Summer Registration Form is just a click away on the MWA website and brochures are available at the studio. The Fall Registration Form and the Fall Schedule are also available.

 MWA Spring Recitals Big Success!
Music Works Academy hosted 7 recitals and 12 rehearsal performance classes. The Recital Gremlins that appeared at the rehearsal performance classes did not return for the weekend recitals! Those lucky students who won one of these creatures must have given them extra attention and love. Students and teachers worked hard to prepare for this annual event. A big congratulations to all of our performers and the parents who managed to transport hem to the studio two times in one week to make these recitals happen! SPRING RECITAL DVD's available!
Camon Paski and Killer Whale Productions is back again with two-camera video recordings of all recitals. Camon is editing the videos and has captured some nice shots. If you have questions or want to order a DVD, please contact Camon at hamkid@q.com. For those who have purchased a DVD and not paid, please mail $15 to Camon Paski; 4532 E. Paradise Lane; Phx, AZ 85032. DVD's will be available in the studio when completed.

MAY Performance Classes May 14, 15, 16 and 17
The MAY Performance Class On-Line Registration is now open. GUITAR STUDENTS please note that King-Wea Ng will be at the Monday classes and Dave Buck will be at the Tuesday and Wednesday classes. Enroll your student early in order to have a selection in time.

PIANO LAB FEE
The April statement will include the 2012-13 Annual Piano Lab Fee. This annual fee is due in full on or before July 5, 2012. The fee can be paid in full or in three installments. In order to retain a tentative lesson slot in the 2012 Fall Schedule, one installment payment must be made in May. Please notify the studio if you wish to pay in installments.

Rachel Hale is joining the piano staff at MWA during April and May. You can see her here on Friday; she is also here on Wednesday with Miss Mara and the PRELUDE Piano Classes. Rachel will be completing her Master of Music degree in Music Education at ASU during 2013. She will be offering Summer Intro PRELUDE classes during June and July as well as teaching piano lessons.

SUMMER 2012 and FALL RE-ENROLLMENT! Deadline ~ April 30
It's that time of year again! Re-enrollment packets were distributed during the Recitals. Others are being mailed. Forms are available in the studio waiting areas and are always available on the MWA website under Current Students/MWA Downloads and Links.
SUMMER REGISTRATION FORM: Please return the Summer Registration form on or before April 30. There is a three-hour instructional minimum for summer participation. Six 30-minute lessons, four 45-minute lessons, or three 60-minute lessons can be arranged to accommodate your vacation plans. Of course, students may enroll for more than this minimum registration requirement. If your summer plans are still not confirmed, your best guess will do - MWA will work to accommodate lesson changes during this Summer Session as long as we have notice! Busy summer? Take three 60-minute lessons to prevent fall frustration/dropout so common when students take a complete break and cannot remember from spring!
FALL REGISTRATION FORM: Please return the Fall Registration form on or before April 30. A tentative fall schedule will be projected by the end of May in order to determine how many available lesson slots are available for new students. Again, your best guess is what we need to know to block in a slot for your student(s).

NATIONAL GUILD AUDITIONS 2012!
The following students of Carolyn Inabinet and Carolyn Cates will be participating in the National Guild Auditions. Cates Guild Auditions are TBA; Inabinet Guild Auditions are held on Wednesday, May 9; Thursday, May 10, and Saturday, May 12. Please check with your instructor for audition times. Audition times are posted in the piano waiting room.
