| QUOTE OF THE DAY | |
There are 2 ways of meeting difficulties:
You alter the difficulties
-- or --
You alter yourself meeting them.
Phyllis Bottome

Are you living a dying life?
|
One of my friends lent me a book last week. He said "I think that you will really relate to this."
It sat on my table for a few days until I picked it up this last weekend. It's a simple book - simple ideas, simple to read, fascinating.
It's called The Big Dream, by Bruce Wilkinson. He tells a parable about how we all have dreams, whether we realize it or not. And in fact, how we all have THE BIG DREAM inside of us. Been buried, maybe. Still inside, though.
It's the reason why we are here, what we were made for. Some would call it purpose. Some would call it calling. Some would call it - "If you are doing this as your work, it won't feel like work."
Hmmm... So as I read this lovely little book, I relate to it.
The fear that you face as you contemplate leaving your comfort zone. The "giants" you meet as you go down this new path. He said the first "giant" you typically meet is "moneyless." HA!
Anyway, he goes on to talk about the expected challenges and rewards of following your Big Dream. I know from personal experience that when I didn't follow my dream, my calling, I was living a dying life with it trapped inside of me.
I can tell you that when I am "working my calling," it does not feel like work. When I am working with people, encouraging, teaching, training, coaching, listening - it comes easily, fills me up, and reminds me why I'm alive.
As you finish out your year, 2010, reflect on all of the lessons you've been given. Depending on how you react, hard times can kill you or build you.
Words that make you Die a little bit more: I can't help it if... I should have... I could have... I'd love to, BUT... I've tried BUT... I hate...
Words you choose to Build a life worth living: I grew... I learned...I was taught...I discovered...I understand now...I'm going to uncover...I didn't like this, AND, I will... I can't do this by myself. I'm going to ask for help... That didn't work AND now I'm going to try something ELSE...
I surrender. I trust. I love. I CHOOSE.
I know that you cannot choose your circumstances. I know that you can choose your thoughts. I know that you can choose your reactions. I know that you can choose your words.
I know that you can choose your next step.
As we close 2010 and enter 2011, I wish you the strength and the courage to take the next step. Whatever that is for you.

| Speaking & Workshops | |
Our team was so impressed with your professionalism and method of delivery. In fact, your insightful real life stories turned out to be the highlight of the training. You were able to speak to our team in a language familiar to them and to provide them with the tips and techniques with which most everyone needs to be reminded. Our team met shortly after the training and was energized and had an increased level of confidence in their ability to tackle every day stress!
M.H. - 19th Judicial District, Greeley, ColoradoI was present last night at your presentation. I want you to know what an impact you made on me!! I am 60 years old and have attended motivational speeches before; but never have I come away from one feeling so sure of what I needed to do to change my heart and my life.

What is coaching? Coaching is not
therapy or counseling. One analogy is: "Therapy is like helping
someone with a broken leg to walk again. Coaching is helping them to
run the four minute mile." Tony Grant - Sydney University.
My Legacy Coaching, LLC - I help people to learn to live unregretted lives.
My passion is to give people the HOW tools to move and grow in direction of building the life they REALLY want. I help people who are feeling stuck.
Instead of just surviving or "hanging in there,", I help my clients to thrive in their personal and/or professional lives. I help them with balance, perspective, and resilience.
A willing heart does not stay stagnant while working with me.
You tell me what you are looking for (if you don't know, I'll help you uncover it), I share tools, and then I encourage and inspire and hold you accountable.
Encourage = to give heart. Inspire = to give breath; to give life.
If you are ready to explore your options with coaching, or think a friend or family member might be ready, call or email me! I offer a 20-30 minute free exploratory session to all new clients to answer questions and let them see how coaching might work in their lives.
