WTS Minnesota invites you to learn more about The Interchange, downtown Minneapolis' connection to the regional rail network, buses, and bike trails!  Chuck Ballentine of Hennepin County will provide an introduction and update on The Interchange, identified as one of two regional multimodal hubs in the Minnesota Department of Transportation's State Rail Plan and the Metropolitan Council's 2030 Transportation Policy Plan.

Located adjacent to Target Field, more than 250 trains currently arrive and depart daily from The Interchange via Hiawatha Light Rail Transit and Northstar Commuter Rail. The Interchange also provides connections to more than 1,900 daily bus operations, as well as access to the Cedar Lake Bike Trail.  The project will initially focus on light rail transit enhancements, aiming to have these complete prior to the opening of the Central Corridor LRT in 2014.  Later expansion will focus on commuter and passenger rail service.

Please RSVP to Molly Stewart, indicating sandwich choice, by Monday, May 16, 2011. Include name and organization in RSVP.

Sandwich Choices:

Please select from one of the following Jimmy Johns 8" sub sandwiches: Pepe, Turkey Tom, or Vegetarian.  Detail descriptions of each sandwich can be found here
