Beer, Baseball, & BBQ
At Spencer Pierce Little Farm
This Fathers Day Weekend, the Ipswich Brewers, the Essex Base Ball Club, and the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm will once again play together, this time at a beer-pairing dinner featuring a talk by "Cappy" Sheehy on the history of baseball.
The dinner is on Saturday, June 19, from 6:30-9:00 p.m., and is $25 for members of Historic New England, and $40 for non-members. Guests will sample eight brews from Ipswich Ale Brewery, Cisco Brewers, and Sherwood Forest Brewers, paired with innovative barbeque dishes from Tennessee 's Barbeque in Peabody . "Our beers are a perfect compliment to barbeque dishes," says Ipswich Ale operations manager Jim Dorau. "We have paired hot smoked wings with potato salad and our great Ipswich IPA, and Memphis ribs with sweet cucumber salad and a Cisco pale ale. It's going to be an excellent mix of great food and great beer."
