Next Step Recovery is now offering a 6-month extended recovery program for residents who are preparing to graduate from our transitional living houses. These services, provided in partnership with Recovery Placement Services (RPS), provide exceptional recovery support, guidance and accountability.
We asked RPS director and lead clinician, Patricia Adlerman, LCSW, to answer a few questions about our new continuing care program.
How do RPS advocacy services support Next Step Recovery residents?
Our Recovery Placement Advocacy program provides 6 months
of intensive case management to assist clients in following their continuing care plan after graduation from Next Step Recovery. Our program provides an extra layer of accountability that reduces the risk of relapse.
What extended recovery services do you offer?
Our services include recovery and dual diagnosis monitoring, educational counseling, detailed clinical assessments, care coordination, monthly progress reports, alcohol and drug testing, and placement guidance in the event of relapse.
How does your program support families?
Our program removes families from the policing role so they can focus on healing, rebuilding relationships, and strengthening the family system as a whole.
What clients could benefit most from this type of program?
Everyone can benefit from extra recovery support. Over the past two decades,
I have seen that our services are especially helpful for those with a history of relapse and for those with medical or psychiatric diagnoses or legal issues.
