We don't have to tell anyone how devastating 9/11/01 was to the U.S. and beyond.  We were all effected, and continue to look back, remember, and grieve.  We at JAC Publishing are proud to offer a few selections that help remind and educate others about the events of that tragic day.  If you are planning an event to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, please consider including these plays by a few of JAC's talented playwrights:

 

Bystander 9/11

(One-act) A documentary drama drawn from the experiences of New Yorkers during the September 11th attacks and their immediate aftermath. The story begins in the subways underneath the towers and continues in a changed world.

The Fortification of Miss Grace Wren

(One-act) Late September, 2001. A small churchyard, East Village, Manhattan.  An elementary school teacher can't cope with the present. She wants to escape into the past.  Thanks to an historical figure who stands astride the 17th and 21st Centuries, she finds the strength and desire to continue her life.

Grieving Process

by Steven Bergman

(Play short) A symbolic look at the survivors of the victims of September 11th. Stan still sees and talks with his wife, Rachel, whom he lost on that tragic day. Stan's brother, Jeff, still tries to help his brother move on, but has yet to succeed two years after Stan's tragic loss.
