Concord PlayersOn the entertainment front, there a couple of great events in process and upcoming we'd like to close this update with.

We all know the characters from this small town and the major racial themes of Harper Lee's classic novel "To Kill a Mockingbird". As in the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, eight-year-old Scout Finch, who lives with her brother, Jem, and their lawyer father, Atticus, in Maycomb, Alabama, tells the story of her father's defense of Tom Robinson, a young black man who is being tried for the rape of a white woman.  JulieAnn Charest Govang directs the talented cast, including a live gospel choir directed by Jason Whiting.  "To Kill a Mockingbird" is being produced by the Concord Players April 24, 25, May 1,2,3* 8 and 9 (*matinee) at 51 Walden Street in Concord, MA.  For more information, call (978) 369-2990 or visit the players online.  Tickets are $18.  School groups are welcomed and strongly encouraged.  Please inquire about group/student rates.
