welcome to the new year! In 2009, which will already be the the third year of Magnificent Music, we will continue to present you exciting bands, great shows and new music! So it is with great joy that we welcome three new bands to our roster:
 We were glowing fans ever since we saw one of their shows and the highly talented OOZING GOO are certainly bound to recruite many more fans with their audacious take on progressive instrumental Rock & Roll. The Berlin based band plays Massive Progressive Rock & Roll, equally great on CD and in a live setting. In concert, however, the power of OOZING GOO unfolds in an sweaty and organic manner which turns every show into a crazy freak out! A new EP is due for release in February!

 Not very often one falls in love with a band at first MySpace-sight. SANDY BIRD though captivated us with touching and unique music and gave us a magic feeling as if we had discovered PJ Harvey, Arcade Fire and Sigur Rós for us at the very same time! SANDY BIRD plays experimental chamber Indie Rock, that mixes chamber musical fragileness and floating moments with frightening build-ups and noisy walls of sounds. Their debut EP is on heavy rotation in our player since last October and anxiously we anticipate their next show!

 In-beetween the weird stuff we won't forget to bring you the pristine and pure Rock & Roll: Welcome MARULK to Magnificent Music! Gothenburg based MARULK is a classic power trio inspired by bands like Jimi Hendrix Experience, Grand Funk Railroad, Black Sabbath and contemporary acts like Colour Haze, Los Natas or Clutch. MARULK couples three instruments with good songs, heavy grooves and a cool stage act. Check out the band's latest new song "Daylight and Rain", a tune bursting with anthemic hit qualities, and get ready for a good old Rock & Roll show!

This year will also see new studio releases by almost all our bands. THE MAGNIFICENT BROTHERHOOD and PLAYFELLOW are currently recording their second album and CHERRY OVERDRIVE will do so very soon. All three albums are due for release in 2009. The long-awaited debut album by FUZZ MANTA will be out in May. Furthermore a live album featuring THE MAGNIFICENT BROTHERHOOD's show from last year's Burg Herzberg Festival is in the works as well.
