May is National Remodeling Month |
Greetings!
Spring is here! Or at least the flowering plants think so. This is the time of year when the remodeling industry experiences an increase in the number of prospective customers. To honor that trend, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) designates May as National Home Remodeling Month. If you see the banner on the building during business hours, stop in and say Hi. Better yet, plan to attend our open house to see some of the latest products, including information about federal tax credits. Sincerely, Michael Tenhulzen, CGR, CAPS 2010 MBA Remodelers ChairPresident

Rampathon
May 15, 2010 marks the fourteenth ramp our team has built for this annual event. Up to 25 low income mobility challenged applicants are chosen by the MBA Care Foundation to receive donated labor and materials for code-compliant wheelchair ramps. Interested in helping the cause? Spring Cleaning
It's that time of year when we inherently begin decluttering and preparing for summer activities. It's often difficult to part with things we think we'll need or use again. For items of significant value, we tend to not want to hassle with selling them. For items we consider donating, it's tough to justify the time. If it's stuff we know nobody wants, we certainly don't want it to end up in the landfill.
So what do we do with all our extra stuff?
There are local services available to help with cleaning, hauling and properly disposing of your stuff. Online searches usually do the trick. As with any other service provider, make sure you can trust the people you choose. Our 10 Tips should help weed out the riffraff. And speaking of weeding: a little time in the yard can be therapeutic. Pulling the root is a preferred method to poisoning. If you fill the yard waste bin more than once every 2 weeks, you're an overachiever. |
