Greetings!
On August 12, 1990, ten people gathered at the home of Anne
Esslinger (Hyatt) to organize a United Methodist Church for the Grant/Honeycomb
area. And it is thanks to
the vision and hard work and commitment of those ten people and those who soon
followed that we can now gather together each Sunday to worship at New
Life! This Sunday, we will have a
chance to celebrate 20 years of ministry on the mountain! We will celebrate by worshipping
together, hearing messages from our previous two pastors, and enjoying a
wonderful time of fellowship as we eat and visit together following the
contemporary service. We are
asking you to bring two dishes -a main dish and a side dish or dessert. We hope to have lots of visitors so
bring enough for your family plus a few more! Come join us as we celebrate our past and thank those who
have helped make this congregation a place where we can experience the love and
grace of Christ. And join us also
as we look forward to God's future for New Life. See you on Sunday!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU!
Youth Center Renovations are underway! Last Sunday 32 adults and youth worked for 2 hours removing carpet, staples and nail boards, sweeping and washing the walls at the youth center! What a difference 32 people can make! Thanks to these hard-working people for their service to our youth and their commitment to making our youth center a more welcoming place: Charlie Ayers, Greta Ayers, Charles Henry Ayers, Chucky Van Etten, Laura Grace Ayers, Hannah Beth Ayers, Michael Brewer, George Buffington, Katie Buffington, Wyatt Buffington, CJ Brown, William Brown, Phillip Clontz, Dennis Garner, Rhonda Garner, Sydney Garner, Hali Pendergrass, Earl Kennamer, Sherry Newton, Morgan Newton, Wes Paradise, Kent Smith, Caleb Smith, Dan Robinson, Thames Robinson, Will Robinson, Catherine Robinson, Gregg Taylor, Milanda Taylor, Cassie Taylor, Claudia Taylor, and Paula Wright. You are a BLESSING!
If you, your family, or small group would like to adopt one of the rooms at the youth center for renovations, sign your name on the board in the narthex. NEW LIFE SHEPHERD MINISTRY
We need each of you to be praying to find out if God is leading you into this ministry.
The Shepherd Ministry will be making phone calls, visiting, and sending cards to members of our church family.
Each member will receive a list of approximately 8 to 10 families for which you will be responsible for keeping in touch with calls, visits, and/or sending cards.
If God leads, please join us for blessings you won't believe.
