A Note from the Director
"Are college union managers just managers of buildings or are college union managers in fact builders of community?" And if the latter is true, and we truly believe a college union is "not just a building; a college union is building community," then what will each of us do to ensure we are actively engaged in building and enhancing community on campus?

Heather Roberts Faces of the Ferg
Heather Roberts - University Programs Vice President
Year: Senior
Major/Minor: American Studies/Human Development
Extra-curriculars: University Honors Program, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, College Democrats, Elementary School mentor

Heather has worked for UP for over three years, starting out her freshman year as a committee member before becoming University Creations Director and now Vice President.

Heather says "my favorite part about working for UP is that I am constantly exposed to new experiences. My position with UP has placed me side by side with some of the most talented and hard-working students on this campus. Together, we have worked each week to bring a wide variety of quality entertainment to UA students and make our contribution towards enriching the culture of student life here. Aside from the invaluable production and management skills I have gained in my experiences with UP, I have learned the importance of a spirit of volunteerism, the value of a strong work ethic, and the necessity of effective communication in achieving a common goal.
