A Note from the Director
"So the days when the union was merely a place to meet and a place to eat are long since gone. The union is now a community center of the first order. It is a lounge, dining room, reading room, art gallery, workshop, theater, music room, forum, game room, dance and party center, copy center, late-night programming venue, ticket bureau, post office, student organization conference headquarters, and store. It may perform all of these functions, or a part of them, or perhaps still others." -Porter Butts, The College Union Idea
