Double Payments
Many people pay monthly into a tax escrow account through their mortgage company, yet still attempt to pay the tax bill themselves. We spend hundreds of man hours researching and refunding thousands of double payments. Please check your mortgage statement to see if they pay your tax bills. In addition, we ask that you mention this to your family and friends, so that they may also check their mortgage statements. The Illinois State Statute is clear that we must send a bill to every taxpayer of record, even if the mortgage company pays the property taxes.
