During September, the library is offering prizes, perks and promotions for following the 3S's.
Sign Up: Sign-up for a new library card or renew your old one in September to be entered into drawings for prizes including an ibook laptop donated by Computer Village, tickets to the Black Hills Community Theater productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and Move Over, Mrs. Markham, passes to the Journey Museum, and a membership and passes to an event at The Dahl!

Alaska's Fiddling Poet Performance and Workshop Thursday, Oct. 1 6:30 to 8 p.m. RCPL Downtown
At 6:30 p.m. - Come to the library for Ken's interactive performance of fiddle music, storytelling and poetry for all ages.
At 7 p.m. - Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to stay for a poetry writing workshop.
Attendees will receive a free poem!
This is the first of three appearances for Ken in the Black Hills. He will be at the S.D. Festival of Books in Deadwood on Friday and Saturday and at The Dahl Saturday night. |

The Rapid City Public Library has served the Rapid City area since 1879 and now offers two library locations. Both offer print and electronic resources for adults, young adults and children as well as computers and internet access and a variety of programs and events. In early 2008, USA Today selected the Rapid City Public Library downtown as one of the nations 10 great places to "Find a Nook and Read a Book."
