JUST RELEASED: Sleep, Recovery, and Human Performance: A Comprehensive Strategy for Long-Term Athlete Development

Sleep has a direct effect on metabolic processes such as energy balance, appetite and weight control. Attending to the importance of it will reduce the risk of over-training/under-recovery, will enhance resistance to illness and will improve recovery from energy. This article will explore the importance of considering sleep in LTAD.

The 59th BC Coastal Cup Soccer Championships were a big deal for the Richmond Soccer Association. RSA hosted the event, had six teams competing in the finals, and went on to win five of those matches. RSA credits CS4L and LTAD for their victories.

CS4L Messenger Training: A series of multi-media presentations have been developed by the CS4L Leadership Team to help parents understand the importance of quality sport programs for their children.

The newest presentation focuses on individual sports and the attributes parents need to consider in quality sport programs. Written in a parent friendly language, the presentations are intended for presenters who are strong advocates of the CS4L movement looking for a straightforward presentation tool. Speaking notes provide key messages for presenters.
