The Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) National Summit brings together leaders of sport, health, recreation and education who work together to enhance the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. CS4L recognizes that quality sport and physical activity offer rich benefits to Canadian society through improved health, stronger communities, higher sporting achievement, and stronger national identity. By improving sport, CS4L aims to improve the lives of all Canadians. The National Summit is designed to assist these leaders in advancing and implementing the Sport for Life philosophy throughout Canadian society.

We are excited to announce that our first call for presentations is now open! Representatives in the fields of sport, recreation, health and education are invited to submit proposals for oral and poster presentations to the CS4L National Summit.
Specific topics and presentation streams will include:

*NEW* Related EventsRecognizing the growing interest and participation in CS4L from sport, health, recreation and education leaders from around the world the newly established International Sport for Life Society has teamed up with CS4L and is organizing a one day World Long-Term Athlete Development Symposium (WLTAD) in conjunction with the CS4L Summit. This symposium will take place on February 3rd at the same hotel and is designed to create an international forum for sharing the best practices in LTAD and Sport for Life philosophies. For details, please visit our website. As in previous years, pre-workshops will be held on Jaunuary 31, 2012. More details and topics to follow.

AccommodationThe Summit hotel is the beautiful Hilton Lac-Leamy, located in Gatineau-Ottawa, Quebec. Adjacent to the spectacular Casino du Lac-Leamy and on the shores of Leamy Lake, the hotel is only five minutes from downtown Ottawa, home of the Ottawa Senators hockey club.
