Just as you can't learn to read and write without learning the alphabet, you can't become an accomplished dancer, basketball player, or tennis pro without having learned basic physical literacy. Physical Literacy refers to childhood learning of fundamental movement and sport skills that are transferable to other sports and activities during a lifetime. The key is to acquire it during childhood, when your body is most adaptable and ready to 'learn' a variety of basic movement and sport skills. > more |
