Greetings!

You are cordially invited to Flint Club's second annual Holiday Soiree and Silent Auction.  The Holiday Soiree and Silent Auction will be held Thursday, December 4th at the Stockton Center at Spring Grove (720 Ann Arbor Street, Flint) from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.

Tickets for all the festivities are $10 each and they are available at the door. Your ticket allows you to gain entrance to the magnificent Stockton Center Museum, to enjoy delectable food, to qualify for door prizes, and much, much more.  Auction items for the silent auction include: an autographed novel, massages, gift baskets, gift certificates, delectable desserts, and many other intriguing items!

The Holiday Soiree and Silent Auction provides a great opportunity for members and friends of Flint Club to network and support a great cause as the Holiday Season kicks off.  In order for this fundraiser to be a success we need your help.  As a member please consider doing one, or more, of the following:

*DONATE an item, gift certificate, or service of any dollar amount to the silent auction.  Don't worry if you live outside the Flint area, you can still send an item or ask a local business to donate an item for you.  All items are tax deductible and proceeds go directly to our community through one of Flint Club's four programming areas.

     * VOLUNTEER We need several people to sign up to help set up or volunteer during the Holiday Soiree and Silent Auction.

Blackstones Pub and Grill coming to Downtown Flint

Construction is slated to begin soon on Blackstones Pub and Grill an American/Irish pub in a 6600 ft facility on Saginaw Street next to the Mott Foundation Building in the former location of Blackstone Clothiers. The new owners are even refurbishing the old Blackstone sign to pay homage to Flint's history. The pub could create as many as 60 new jobs and will be a welcome addition to the revitalization of downtown when it opens in March of 2009.
