What Are People Saying About the TargetGov Experience?

The entire experience was first-rate!  G. Zelitzky
The best part is having the ease of taking part in the teleconference no matter where I had to be that day.  A. Tsakanikas

The teleconference was absolutely "outstanding"
The tool kit as well as yours and Beth's comments were excellent !
Teleconferencing is far more efficient and much less expensive than the alternative.
Thank you,
 J. Whitworth

I think the teleconference format is very convenient...in fact, I actually listened to one of the conferences while driving back from a meeting with Army representative.  Registering and attending is always super easy. R. Alexander

Was impressed with the registration process. Getting the toolkit link was easy. Download was easy.  Dialing in was flawless. Very easy process.  Name withheld as requested

Registration was easy, conference was valuable.  I'll definitely attend other ones.

According to the SBA the Top Six Government Agencies Are Still Struggling to Reach Their Diversity Goals

The SBA has released the FY2009 Small Business Procurement Scorecard (click here to read the SBA's press release). The new report shows that while the number of women-owned contractors increased for both prime contracts (0.28%) and for subcontracts (0.52%), over half of the top six federal agencies show a decrease in contracts to women-owned businesses. The following is a breakdown of the numbers for the top six agencies:

Department of Defense: 3.37%, up from 2.95%
Department of Energy: 0.89%, down from 0.97%
Health and Human Services: 4.51%, down from 5.55%
         NASA: 2.37%, down from 2.51%
Department of Veterans: 3.40%, down from 4.02%
Department of Homeland Security: 7.86%, up from 6.55%

These results indicate the need for the enactment of the Women's Procurement Program. Thanks to WIPP's efforts, over 1,000 comments were received regarding this program. SBA Administrator Karen Mills has spoken openly about the implementation of the Program, scheduled for later this year. Until this program is enacted, the government may never meet its 5% overall goal.
