Greetings,
I am giving this space over to an important cause. AUSA- Aberdeen Chapter President Mary Ann Jerrigan is asking for assistance for a Soldier's family.
She says: "An APG deployed Soldier's family had a fire in their Military housing at APG, MD last week. No one was injured, by the grace of God.
The Soldier is "down range" leaving a Wife/Mother and four children here at APG. They had about 75% of all their belongings destroyed. They are receiving immediate emergency assistance from post, which includes new housing, and emergency funds for purchasing school supplies, school clothes, food, etc.
These funds will most certainly help, but will not be sufficient to support the family in their long recovery to normalcy, if ever possible. They need funds for furniture, linens, clothes, dishes, pots pans, toilet paper, towels, pillows, etc. The estimated dollar loss is still being worked. The emotional loss cannot be calculated.
I ask each of you to reach out to help raise funds for direct assistance to this family. Because of privacy laws, I cannot release the name of the family, but I assure you the report is real and accurate.
If you find it in your heart to show support to this American Soldier and his family, please know that the Aberdeen Chapter of AUSA has established a special checking account entitled: AUSA Community Assistance Fund. The monies will go directly into this checking account and will go from that account directly to the family of the fire.
If you are able to help this Soldier and his family, please make your check payable to: AUSA - Aberdeen ATTN: AUSA Community Assistance Fund P. O. Box 45 APG, MD 21005 If you want a receipt, please include your email address.
Thank you for your consideration, Mary Jane..."
I cannot comprehend losing everything, and if you can afford a few dollars to help this family, it will go a long way.
May you enjoy continued success, and have compassion along with your success...
