Greetings!
Attitude, it is all attitude. What is your attitude today? You have total control over your attitude and every day you make a choice to have it support you in reaching your goals (or not) and in being the kind of person (leader, follower, boss, employee, friend, family, and even stranger) that you want to be, or not.
Meet your challenges head on, ask for help when needed, and help others to meet their challenges. Enjoy your day, learn something new and teach something new to someone who wants to learn.
I had to take my own advice this week. I slipped and dislocated my kneecap one evening. It was a scary scene, seeing my knee looking so strange, not to mention painful. My husband immediately came to my aid, and after icing the knee and moving the kneecap back into place we went to the ER for an X-ray and treatment.
Yikes, what a mess, tight? Well, it was not so bad. The good news is nothing was broken, wrapping and icing down the knee was all that was needed until the follow-up visit the following week. I had the help of a wonderful, calm husband, God helped slip the bone back where it should have been, and the doctor was knowledgeable and kind. The 5 hour wait was frustrating, but seeing those around me in worse shape, especially the children, was sobering. By the time I could go home and make it to bed, I realized that it all could have been so much worse.
My attitude is better, I am grateful that it was not so bad, and that recuperation is now relatively painless. I learned new things about anti-inflammatory drugs and the value of icing an injury, and how wonderful it is when those who love you, instantly step up and are there when you need them. What a true blessing.
Here's hoping you are ready to enjoy a great weekend and of course, let me know if we can help you set and reach your government contracting goals. Our team is here to help!

Federal court gives HUBZone program priority
A federal judge has thrown a wrench into the Obama administration's small-business contracting policy by ruling that agencies must give priority to businesses in economically depressed areas when setting aside contracts for small businesses.
The U.S. Court of Federal Claims determined that the Small Business Act requires contracting officers to consider companies in the Small Business Administration's Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program before opening contracts to firms in the 8(a) and service-disabled, veteran-owned small business set-aside programs.
