Good morning,
This newsletter is jam-packed with information you can use to grow your business. If you want fre*e things, we have them. If you want in-person meeting, learning and networking opportunities, we have them. If you want reasons to pursue business, we have them. If you want insider information about winning contracts, we have it! If you want excuses, sorry, we do NOT have those.

Remember last week I said to surround yourself with people who are thinking and doing positive actions to bring in business, to improve themselves and help their clients? It's happening! We are seeing successes in the general marketplace--we are seeing it in businesses winning contracts, we are seeing it changing attitudes.

This is real grass-roots growth in small and medium sized businesses. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and thriving, especially among the thought leaders. Oh yes, there are those out there who are suffering, and those who think things will get worse and who think we are silly for pursuing a positive business attitude.

It is time to change your bus, hop off the doom and gloom route and join us on the success bus. There is unlimited room, and we would love to celebrate your success! Sound too goofy for you? Or does it secretly make you smile and say "yes!"

What's your first step? Do something good for your clients. Really. Reach out, help them. Offer something great, for nothing in return. Try it. Make sure what you offer is valuable and that they can use it. Then do it again. Get that positive energy going. You can do it. Just start. Now.

Your seat on the bus is waiting!

Here's to our success~~

"...Whether or not you agreed or disagreed with the stimulus bill (I'll leave that to the talking heads), a small business person wants to know if there are any business opportunities or tax issues contained in the legislation. With respect to business opportunities, a few themes emerged...."

The Future of Capitalism Is Here, and It's NOT What Any of Us Expected.

Do Business Plans Matter?
Given all the attention paid to business plans as precursor to business start-ups, you would think that there would be strong evidence that such plans lead to better business outcomes. Somewhat surprisingly, the linkages aren't quite so clear. [

A Competency Model for Entrepreneurship?
If you think entrepreneurship is as much an art as a science, you might have some second thoughts about a "competency model" for entrepreneurship. But, the model does offer a useful way to understand the various skills that entrepreneurs need to succeed. [
