Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF)
At a reception held on Feb. 2 at the Arlington Town Hall, Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) organizers celebrated the winning entries to their second annual poster contest. In total, AIFF's four judges surveyed 50 poster entries from students at Arlington High School and Arlington Catholic High School, eventually winnowing the pool down to a list of the top-five finalists and one winner. At the reception, special guest Kristen Lauerman, manager and assistant programmer of film and video at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, announced the names of all six entries. The winner, Marley Jurgensmeyer, was awarded $500 by AIFF. The reception also marked the opening call for submissions to this year's film festival, scheduled to be held in October More info at:http://www.aiffest.org

A SCORE counselor comes to the Arlington Chamber's office on the first Wednesday of every month to meet with Chamber members for confidential one-hour consultations.

This workshop has been very popular with shop-owners, and usually fills up quickly. They've added this March 15 date to meet demand. East Cambridge announces new appointments
East Cambridge Savings Bank's Board of Trustees recently elected Patrick A. Normile and Linda M. Cahill Vice President. The Board also elected Manuel U. Rodriquez and Lawrence R. Palmer Assistant Vice President. Recent promotions at East Cambridge Savings include KathyAnn Dottin, Business Development Sales Manager at the Bank's MassAve Office located at 2067 Massachusetts Avenue and Robert J. Pettit, Commercial Credit Manager. Also, Ernest Chevrette joined the Bank as Deposit Services Manager.
