Visiting Nurse and Community Health, Inc.
VNCH will host its 4th Annual "Pot of Gold" raffle and event on November 5, 2009.  Only 200 tickets will be offered for sale at $100 each prior to the event, and the lucky ticket holder(s) will have the opportunity to win a $10,000 "pot of gold". 

 
The event will be held at the Sons of Italy Hall in Arlington on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 6:30pm.  A buffet dinner will be provided, as well as a cash bar.  There will be silent auction items on which to bid, as well as various raffles throughout the evening.  A fun night is promised for all, and attendance will be limited to the ticket purchaser and a guest.
 
"Pot of Gold" raffle tickets, which are on sale now, can be obtained by calling Meredith Lambroff, VNCH Development specialist, at 781-643-6090, ext. 1322.  Checks should be made payable to: VNCH.

CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, --- East Cambridge Savings Bank elected Gilda M. Nogueira chief operating officer and trustee and elected Michael Ferreer vice president.
 
Nogueira has more than 30 years of banking experience.  She joined the Bank in 1977 and has held various positions.  Nogueira  was elected assistant vice president in 1988, vice president of operations in 1991 and senior vice president and senior operations officer in 1999.  In 2006, Nogueira was elected executive vice president of East Cambridge Savings Bank.  Nogueira has been a corporator of East Cambridge Savings Bank since 1996.  Additionally, Nogueira serves as clerk of the Board of Investment of East Cambridge Savings Bank.  She is a member of the Massachusetts Bankers Association's Legal and Regulatory Committee and the Eastern Massachusetts Compliance Network.
 
Active in the community, Nogueira is a board member and past president of the Rotary Club of Somerville, currently serving as secretary.  She also serves on the boards of the Somerville Chamber of Commerce and the Cambridge Family YMCA.
 
Nogueira received her Bachelor of Science degree in management from Lesley University.  She is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association's School of Financial Studies and the America's Community Bankers National Graduate School of Banking.
 
She resides in Medford with her husband and children.


Michael Ferreer first joined East Cambridge Savings Bank as assistant manager of the Marketing Department in the fall of 2003.  He was elected assistant vice president in 2005.
 
"I am deeply appreciative to work for an organization so steeped in its historical and evolving commitment to the needs of the surrounding communities," said Ferreer.
 
Ferreer received his bachelor of science from Boston University.  In addition to being an officer of East Cambridge Savings Bank, he is also a member of Harland Financial's Touche Analyzer User Group and American Bankers Association Bank Marketing Network.
 
He resides in Shrewsbury, Masschusetts with his family.

SCORE Counselors to America's Small Business is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide.

A SCORE counselor comes to the Arlington Chamber's office on the first Wednesday of every month to meet with Chamber members for confidential one-hour consultations. Call the Chamber at 781.643.4600 to make an appointment. Both members and non-members can take advantage of this opportunity.
