Need Help with Developing and Implementing your Restructuring and Scenario Plans?
I hope you are well and that you were able to take some time off to relax over the summer holidays. It's October, and many of you are right back into the thick of things, managing programs, your board, special events - and likely trying to manage with insufficient financial and human resources.
 
Hopefully you have had time to review and use the information and tools presented at The ReStructure Conference: Forward Together Leading the Non-Profit Sector through the Recession.
 
During the May ReStructure Conference, I asked if you wanted support to assist you with the implementation of your restructuring strategy. At that time, many of you said yes!
 
For those of you who are interested, we have developed an offering that is designed to provide you with coaching and assistance to help you pull together a restructuring strategy and increase your level of expertise in strategic management at a fraction of the cost to conduct strategic planning
 
This support will include the following:
 
1.    A re-introduction to each of the five restructuring stages:
  • This will allow you to get reacquainted with each stage, and the opportunity to ask questions to clarify the various steps in each stage;
  • This re-introduction will be conducted via live audio/webinar with no more than 5 other organizations, so you don't have to leave the comfort of your office to attend a meeting or presentation, and you will have plenty of time to ask as many questions as you like;
  • Each webinar will be paced out throughout several months to allow you enough time to implement each stage before moving on to the next one.

2.    One-on-one time with me for each stage of the restructuring strategy, where I will provide you with a complete review of your work for each phase of the restructuring process:

  • I will review your work and setup a time to meet with you by phone or in person so that I can:
    • provide you with my feedback and recommendations;
    • demonstrate any areas of risk;
    • provide you with additional or alternate strategies and tactics to consider to strategically and financially restructure your organization.
  • You will receive 2 hours of my time per stage - that's 10 hours for me to review your work, and to meet with you to provide feedback and recommendations - in addition to the 5 webinars.

The fee for this package is $2,000 plus GST and will be available to start as early as November 2009.

Resources to Help you Prepare for H1N1 
H1N1
H1N1 Tool-Kit
All non-profits - particularly those providing direct services to the community including those providing housing, and drop-in programs for children, youth and adults - should have plan for preventing and handling a flu outbreak.
 
The National Council of Nonprofits (US) has prepared a comprehensive Flu (H1N1) Preparedness Tool-kit for Non-Profit Organizations that provides resources including the following:
  • Sample HR and health and safety policies,
  • Letters to employees,
  • Suggested action steps to help nonprofits prepare and cope with an outbreak,
  • Tips on preparedness and business-continuity planning,
  • Ideas for educating your employees,
  • and much more.
The National Council of Nonprofits reminds us that while "the H1N1 flu virus appears no more dangerous than the normal seasonal flu, many more people than usual are expected to become ill this fall and winter because most people have no immunity to the H1N1 strain."
