Field of Green Festival Approaching!
 This "green" fundraiser will be great fun for the whole family! We'll have live music from several bands, eco-friendly vendors offering art, jewelry, clothing and more! Food will be available, or you can bring your own picnic.

Kids Food Basket Releases 230 Butterflies at Blandford
Kids Food Basket, a local nonprofit dedicated to attacking childhood hunger in Grand Rapids, held their 5th annual "Hunger Takes Flight" event here at Blandford. Kids from Sibley, Coit, Martin Luther King Jr, Cesar Chavez, Alexander, Stocking, Buchanan, South Godwin, Southeast Academy Center, and Ridge Park Charter Academy (totaling over 230 kids) released Monarch Butterflies.

Growing Up Green

New Saturday Hours
Beginning in June, our new Saturday hours will change to 12 to 5pm. We hope this will allow more visitors to come out on the weekend and be able to enjoy our interpretive center and Wildlife Education Center.

Volunteers Wanted!
We've got several volunteer openings:
* Reception - Be the smiling face that welcomes visitors to BNC! Learn all about Blandford's history, gardening, wildlife, and share Blandford's mission with the community.
* General Store - Great place to work with a friend or family member. We are seeking friendly, polite, and responsible volunteers to greet visitors and answer product and general nature center questions.
