Greetings!
What do you do when your car get's stuck in the mud or snow? Do you keep stepping on the gas and spinning your wheels or do you get help? Most of us ask for help or are at least open to receiving help when we have car trouble. We know that a few helping hands can us get out of the ditch and on our merry way. In other areas of life we may not be so open to asking for help. We know we are stuck in a rut and yet we keep doing the same things over again hoping for different results.
Needing help or assistance to get to the next level is not a sign of weakness. Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, needed a coach to help him reach his full potential and maintain excellence. We all have seeds of greatness planted within us but we need others to help us realize our full potential. Recognizing you are unable to reach your goals doing what you are currently doing is actually the first step to success. Asking for help is the next step out.
Next Week. How to find the right helpers and mentors. |

Great Summer Recipes Three Sisters Succotash Recipe by CiCi Williamson
I had the wonderful priviledge of watching Cici Williamson, author of The Best of Virginia Farms Cookbook & Tour Book prepare this simple yet tasty dish at the Olney Farmers Market. This Native North American recipe always includes corn, beans and squash. These three ingredients are called the "Three
Sisters," by the Native Americans.

INGREDIENTS
3 bacon slices, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch strips 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 1/2 cups fresh corn kernels 1 (10-ounce) packages frozen baby lima beans OR 2 cups shelled fresh limas) 2 small yellow squash, sliced (2 cups) 1 teaspoon low-sodium chicken bouillon granules 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 medium-size green bell pepper, cut into strips 1/2 cup cherry tomato halves
TO PREPARE
Cook bacon in large saucepan over medium heat until crisp and brown;
drain and crumble. Saute onion in bacon drippings until soft. Drain
liquid from canned corn into saucepan. Add lima beans, squash, bouillon
granules, cumin and pepper; cover. Stirring occasionally, cook over low
heat until limas test done, about 10 minutes. Stir in corn and bell
pepper. Cook uncovered until vegetables are tender and most of liquid
evaporates, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and reserved bacon; cover and
let stand 5 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

The presence of fear
does not mean you have no faith. Fear visits everyone. But make your fear
a visitor and not a resident
