Do you ever feel like there aren't enough hours in the day and time is flying? Is your life filled with duties you don't want to do, but feel obligated to accomplish? Have you forgotten that being productive doesn't necessarily mean crossing things off a to-do list?
Our time on Earth is so brief and too precious to be used like this. Wouldn't you agree?
Sometimes the healthiest way to find balance is not in changing your food, but in lightening your load. For me this means committing to less in a day, prioritizing things that bring me joy, and minimizing time spent on activities that don't really call to me.
Time passes, planned or not. Think about what you want to be experiencing, then make decisions that will take you there.
Maybe you want to savor your mornings, so choose to get up a little earlier and don't rush to work. If mornings aren't your thing, schedule a midday walk and take the scenic route as your go about your business. Unplug from all your e-networking devices after a certain hour. Now we're getting serious! Suddenly there's more time and energy to engage with your food, your loved ones, your life!
So here's what I'm suggesting...
Slow down. Relax. Breathe in. Breathe out. Right here. Right now. Ten seconds. Doesn't that feel better? Now imagine if you gave it ten minutes...
