Red Crossbill

Without a doubt, Bill said the bird of the day was a red crossbill. He said there was a very cooperative flock that just stayed put and everyone got great looks for a long time. Participants even got to see them ripping apart pine cones through the spotting scope! Today's awesome image was taken by Rolando Garcia.
