binoculars and child We were turned away from Doudy Draw because of construction, but our second choice was great. We are still seeing FOY (first of the year) birds like the bobolinks at Centennial Trail. Many folks had life birds or county birds on the trip this morning.

Bird of the Day

Black-chinned Hummingbird

Black-chinned hummingbirds seem to be making advances to the north in Colorado. Several sightings have come our way in the last few years. Wild Bird Center's Bill Eeds has had one in his Louisville yard for the last couple of weeks now. This morning was our best ever look at a black-chinned on the Saturday Walks.
