Book Signing for North Carolina Historical Fiction Author Joe Epley

A Passel of Hate Greenville, SC, October 8, 2012 - North Carolina historical fiction author Joe Epley will be signing copies of his debut novel, A Passel of Hate (CreateSpace, paperback, $17.95), at Fiction Addiction on Saturday, October 27th, from 3-5pm.

In the Carolinas, the American War for Independence is a civil war with many families and neighbors split in their loyalties. When infamous Tory raider Rance Miller brings his murderous terror campaign to the western Carolinas, Jacob Godley and his youngest brother join the Liberty Men to exact revenge -- but their three other brothers serve the Loyalists as their respective forces converge on Kings Mountain.

Gripping, visceral, and full of intensity, Joe Epley's debut novel is as historically fascinating as it is emotionally satisfying. Surrounding the Loyalist forces, the Liberty Men charge the hill with deadly enthusiasm. When the savage fighting ends with a decisive and tide-turning triumph for the American side, Jacob's victory is bittersweet as his four brothers perished in the battle. Afterward, Jacob is driven by hatred as he tracks Rance Miller through the Carolina backcountry to seek the revenge he so desperately needs.

Brutal in its depiction of the harrowing nature of war and the price paid by our revolutionary ancestors, A Passel of Hate and its breakneck pacing forge a relentless adventure full of bravery, horrific violence, and first-rate historical-action entertainment.

A Passel of Hate just won the 2012 Military Writers Society of America silver medal for historical fiction!
