Another month gone, another season begun.

We've finally bypassed those hot summer days and are getting closer to the shortened days of winter, but it's this time in between that I love most. The still-warm sun on your face during the day, smelling the crackling hickory in fireplaces in the evenings, and of course getting to bake crisp apple cobbler and curl up under a blanket on the porch as the sun sets.

All of that aside, we're spending a good deal of time indoors getting everything settled for 2010 and hopefully soon we'll have some fantastic news to share with you all - until then it's on to this month's releases!

Now in stores: The Loner: Dead Man's Gold
loner 3 dead man's gold
With his wife's killers dead and buried, Conrad Browning - known as The Loner - is on his way to Mexico for some peace and quiet.  But on the way, he's sidetracked by some intriguing travelers who are hunting down a valuable golden artifact.  They're not the only ones who want to get a hold of the treasure.

A running gun battle with some killers lands The Loner and his cohorts in the Jornada del Muerto - a hellish, waterless wasteland in New Mexico Territory.  And now it's up to Kid Morgan to get himself and his new friends out of this arid stretch of land before they perish from thirst ... or lead poisoning.

The Loner is the third in the new series by J.A. Johnstone and can be found exclusively in Wal Mart stores.

The Last Gunfighter: Sudden Fury
last gunfighter sudden fury
It kills like an animal.  The loggers call it "The Terror of the Redwoods."  A local timber baron has put a bounty on the hide of this man-beast, and the woods are teeming with so many trigger-happy dolts and half-cocked drunkards that someone's bound to get hurt - and bad.  Frank Morgan doesn't believe in such creatures and decides to get to the bottom of this tall tale.

Chaos in the Ashes
ashes series chaos in the ashes
In the fiery aftermath of apocalypse, America, as we knew it, disappeared - and was reborn as the Tri-States. Under the Rebel law of Ben Raines, there are no slums, no gangs, and no crime. But a new breed of anarchists and malcontents have banded together to destroy everything Ben Raines and his army have risked their lives - and the future of America - to build. As devastating civil war turns race against race, brother against brother, and the nation's once-peaceful citizens into a modern-day barbarians, the Tri-States explode in a firestorm of violence and chaos. Now it's up to Ben Raines and the Rebel Army to put the Red, White and Blue democracy back into business ...before the red dawn of Armageddon.
