In our 2006 Cape and Islands United Way Annual Report we thank those who graciously supported us with donations last year; and highlight some of the programs, which we in turn supported. Thank you to all who help to make this a better place to live for everyone.

The Cape & Islands United Way 9th annual "Best Night of the Year", recently held at Willowbend Country Club and attended by 250 persons raised more than $127,000 for Cape and Islands human services providers. The evening included offerings from numerous restaurants and wine/beer vendors; a silent and live auction, and a 45 minute fireworks display. Mary Cotoia, of the Bank of Cape Cod and Cape and Islands United Way board chairman said, "we owe a huge thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this great event possible, as well as our major sponsors, Shepley/Marvin Showcase, Cape Cod Life Publications, TD Banknorth and Atlas Pyrovision. Also we thank all those who gathered as a community to celebrate our good fortune, and to share it with a spirit of charity and generosity."

A Sand Dollar Donor is any individual or business that makes a donation of $1000 or more to the Cape and Islands United Way.
